So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
