Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
