Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Is with them the Unseen, and they write it down! 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
