Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
