So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
