Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
