(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
