Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
