So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
