Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
