Seest thou one who turns back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
