Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
