Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
