Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
