HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
