Prostration
< random >
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
