Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
