So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
