(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
