Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
