Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
