Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
