Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
