The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners. 23 For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! 24 Has the Reminder been cast upon him alone among us? Nay, rather he is an impudent liar.' 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 “We shall send a she-camel to test them, therefore O Saleh, wait and have patience.” 27 Tell them that the water is to be apportioned between them (and her); and every turn of drinking will be fixed (for each)." 28 But they called their companion who took hold of her and hamstrung her. 29 So how did My punishment turn out, and My warnings? 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 32 The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 33 Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak, 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 Indeed an abiding chastisement came upon them in the morning. 38 We said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 39 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
