And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
