And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
