The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 when they will be dragged on their faces into the fire and will be told, "Feel the touch of hell". 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
