The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 when they will be dragged on their faces into the fire and will be told, "Feel the touch of hell". 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
