To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
