The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
