The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 Created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
