The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human being 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
