The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Taught the Quran. 2 has created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
