The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He has created man: 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
