The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
