The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created the human being 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
