The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human being 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
