The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 has created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
