Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- 46 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 47 Full of overhanging branches -- 48 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 51 therein of every fruit two kinds -- 52 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 59 Is the reward for good [anything] but good? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 green, green pastures -- 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
