▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who fears to stand before his Lord are two gardens. 46 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides those two will be yet two [other] gardens 62 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain beli? 63 Two Gardens, dark green and fresh. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 In [each of] these two [gardens] will two springs gush forth. 66 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 67 In both of them there will be fruit trees and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 69 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Fair ones, confined in tents. 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficience. 78
