The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a few from later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and banana trees, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water everflowing. 31 and abundant fruits, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
