The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On studded thrones. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
