The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In gardens of delight; 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And shade extended 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 We have made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
