The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and serried acacias, 29 and continuous shade, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and fruits abounding 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And exalted thrones. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38
