The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virginal, 36 chastely amorous, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
