Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 and a throng of the later folk. 40 As for the Companions of the Left 41 They will be in the midst of scorching wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor pleasant. 44 Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury 45 And they have been persisting in the heinous offence. 46 And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again, 47 "(We) and our fathers of old?" 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all – the former and the latter.” 49 will indeed be gathered together at an appointed time on a Day known [only to God]: 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers – 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 And drink over it scalding water, 54 And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 Thus shall they be entertained on the Day of Recompense. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about [the semen] that you discharge -- 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Have you considered the seeds you till? 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 Had We wanted, We could have crushed it to bits and you would have been left to lament, 65 (Saying): "We are indeed Mughramun (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! [See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 17, Page 219] 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 Consider the water that you drink. 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 And have you seen the fire that you ignite? 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We Ourselves made it for a reminder, and a boon to the desert-dwellers. 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
