A large group from the earlier generations. 39 and a good many of later times. 40 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke. 43 Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 44 For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures, 45 And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief). 46 They used to say: “What! Once we are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, shall we still be raised to a new life from the dead? 47 "And also our forefathers?" 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 You shall fill your bellies with it, 53 and on top of this you will drink boiling water 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement. 56 It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth? 57 Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 that We will change you and cause you to grow again in a way you do not know. 61 And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? 62 Just ponder over what you sow: 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 See ye the water which ye drink? 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 It is We who have made it as a reminder and a means of comfort for the people. 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
