a large group of the earlier people 39 And a multitude from the later generations. 40 But those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) those of the left hand -- 41 [They will find themselves] in the midst of scorching winds, and burning despair, 42 and the shadow of a smoking blaze 43 neither cool nor good. 44 Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty. 45 And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.) 46 And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised? 47 "(We) and our fathers of old?" 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 "Then will ye fill your insides therewith, 53 and drink on top of that boiling water 54 drinking it as thirsty camels do.” 55 Such will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. 58 Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 Have you ever considered the water which you drink? 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 We could make it brackish, if We pleased; so why do you not acknowledge thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire that you kindle. 71 Have you raised its tree, or We have raised it? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
