After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say: "Verily, those of olden times and those of later times 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 Then you people who had gone astray and rejected the Truth 51 you shall eat of a tree called Zakkoum, 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 lapping it down like thirsty camels.' 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 We created you, why will you not believe! 57 Have you seen sperm? 58 Did you create it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have destined death for you and no one can challenge Us 60 In the matter of exchanging you for others, and to transform you into what you do not know. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 [For,] were it Our will, We could indeed turn it into chaff, and you would be left to wonder [and to lament,] 65 [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; 66 Rather, we have been deprived." 67 Have you considered the water that you drink? 68 Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 69 If We will, We would make it bitter, why then do you not give thanks? 70 Consider the fire that you strike (and get by friction). 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74
