▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
